Expected benefits

The EchoHEALTH project is designed to be able to contribute to systemic improvements in One Health research in a timely manner, thereby addressing the rapidly growing global challenges affecting human health and supporting sustainable development in Europe. EchoHEALTH will focus on EU priorities such as the One Health Action Plan against Antimicrobial Resistance, contribution to cancer prevention and environmental health strategies. 

Key efforts include developing new research strands, a comprehensive training program, strengthening LBMC’s innovation potential, and raising One Health concept awareness. EchoHEALTH is timely positioned to make systemic improvements, contributing to global health imperatives and sustainable development in Europe. 

As a result of the implementation of the project, it is planned to attract 5 new researchers and establish a new research group, as well as to create a OHIC, serving as a pivotal data access and analysis platform. It is planned to submit at least 8 scientific publications, develop and submit >8 new proposals, and create 1 interactive surveillance database. As a result of the implementation of the project, >50 researchers and students will be trained, 3 interactive teaching materials will be created, and 1 new study course will be developed. To facilitate the integration of the EchoHEALTH platform into national health organizations, 2 new policy recommendations will be developed. It is planned to establish a service for secure data access and innovation support.
