ABOUT THE PROJECT
Goals and objectives
The EchoHEALTH project aims to enhance the translational excellence of the BMC by establishing the One Health Informatics Centre (OHIC), led by an experienced bioinformatician Alvis Brāzma as the ERA Chair holder.
Overarching objectives of EchoHEALTH:
1. Establish an integrated One Health research informatics resource and demonstrate its capabilities through high-impact studies.
2.Create connectivity between biomedical research, environment-based epidemiology (EBE), public health and other industries to enhance innovation and integration of novel state-of-the-art technologies.
3. Ensure sustainability and facilitate systemic improvements of the Latvian Research and Innovation (R&I) ecosystem locally and globally, as an integrated element of the European Research Area.
Workplan – the EchoHEALTH project is structured into six Work Packages:
